Titaniboa Grime Art

This piece was made for a class I had in high school. The goal of the assignment was to take a photograph of a place in the Chicago Botanical Gardens that we took and turn it into an artwork. For my project, I decided to insert a grime art style titanoboa/cobra into the environment in my picture. To do this I used a mixture of the software Adobe Illustrator and Procreate. This artwork is one of the 3 grime art pieces that I created as part of a series I named “Grime Art Monsters”.

Agent Carter

This artwork was made in my free time in the iPad app “Procreate”. I created this artwork for myself as practice for shading and coloring a person in a realistic style. I used a reference photo from one of the “Captain America: The First Avenger” movie scenes to create this artwork. I ended up submitting it to the 2021 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. It won a silver key in the competition which is the second highest award a piece can get in the competition.

Harley Quinn (Suicide Squad)

Similar to my “Agent Peggy Carter” piece above, I wanted to continue practicing a realism art style through recreating movie scenes. This artwork was done with a reference photo of Margot Robbie in the “Suicide Squad” movie. It was created in the iPad app “Procreate” in my free time to practice creating realistic people, environments, and lighting effects.

Serpent Grime Art

This piece was made for my Digital Imaging class that I took in high school. The goal of the assignment was to take a photograph that we took and turn it into an artwork. For my project, I decided to insert a grime art style serpent wrapped around the tower of the church in Germany that was the subject of this photo I took. To do this I used the iPad app Procreate. This artwork is one of the 3 grime art pieces that I created as part of a series I named “Grime Art Monsters”.

Training Agent Carter

Like my “Agent Peggy Carter” and “Harley Quinn” pieces above, this artwork was made in my free time in the iPad app “Procreate”. I created this artwork for myself as extra practice for realistic shading and coloring as well as recreating textures. I used a reference photo from one of the “Captain America: The First Avenger” movie scenes that I thought would challenge my shading abilities to create this artwork.

Bolt Pointalism

This piece was made for my first art class in high school and is, to this day, my favorite traditional art piece I’ve created. Our assignment was to use a reference photo and apply pointillism techniques to recreate it. I used a picture of my favorite cat, Bolt. This was the first piece of art for which I was recognized by my art teacher, who chose to display it at Lane Tech’s annual art department showcase. I believe this artwork solidified my creative prowess and led me to become the creative designer I am today.
